'Composities ontstaan soms wanneer ik aan het improviseren ben. Vrije improvisaties komen voort uit mijn wezen...dromen achter mijn harp is voor mij ultieme muzikale vrijheid. Daarom speel ik uit eigen werk en vertrouw ik op mijn intuďtie. Ook een aantal bekende werken
(klassiek, jazz, trad.) zijn een bron voor improvisatie. '

As a classical trained harpist and autodidact composer, from the Netherlands -
Den Haag - I am working for an young and creative company harpandsoul.com
I started playing the harp in 1983 (concerts, background music, .. ) and I am still playing,
but since 2007 (after some live changing moments and lots of soul searching) I decided
to become a professional musician; a recording harpist, composer and music producer.
I play and create original and instant music and I am involved in art fusion projects:
for poetry projects/visuals /film /cartoons/ installations I compose and produce the

For H&S MUSIC I have produced cds that went ont he air on podcasts and (inter)
national radio stations. My latest cd has been honored with the great indie award 2008
for excellent production and songwriting. My compositions can be heard in several film
productions, video installations and documentaries and as intro music on websites.

STYLE

At the moment I am working on a minimalharp project; harp solo and harp and percussion.

CURRENT
The US tv programm Bridging heaven and earth has asked me to produce a film about my music and this music production will be broadcasted worldwide.
For a documentary about making pottery I have composed the music. The movie will be released in spring this year.
I have been asked to profide minimal music to a DVD project.
The sheet music of 'A bird came flying' will be published this years spring.
Recently, for KUNST in BEDRIJF I have become the manager. I can be booked to realize artistic music movies.
